Many people know who the Ball brothers are whether or not they are basketball fans. You might know them due to their basketball skill or because of their reality TV show and internet antics. Many people know they’re father helped create the Big Baller Brand. They had shoes, shirts, shorts, and all kinds of merchandise. Many people you ask who have worn and played basketball in the shoes will tell you they are not very good shoes to hoop in. The boys had always played in their father’s shoes for obvious reasons. This never really meant anything until now when we are seeing what might be the effects of wearing bad shoes. Lonzo Ball has not played a game since last season due to a knee injury. He still has trouble with pain when simply walking. His younger brother who also wore his father’s shoes has only played in 28 of the Charlotte Hornets 55 games this season. Both of the boys missing lots of games due to leg related injuries makes you wonder if the shoes they wore before going to the NBA affected their injuries today. My thinking is that the shoes did have some effect on the injuries the boys are suffering today. Maybe not so much the injuries themselves but the severity of the said injuries.

In week 17 the Bills and Bengals were set to face off. Two young quarterbacks who led their teams to the playoffs last year face off for what is developing into a rivalry. The Bengals were up early and had the ball again. They were moving down the field when Joe Burrow passed the ball to Tee Higgins. Tee Higgins was running when Damar Hamlin, a Bills safety, came to tackle him. He got up from the tackle and collapsed on the field. Medical staff ran onto the field and started chest compressions. He was eventually taken to the hospital where he would be released from a few days later. Then, this weekend  the Bills and Bengals faced off against each other again in the divisional round of the playoffs. Damar Hamlin was able to make it to the game in a suite. However, nobody could see his face or if it was truly him at all. This situation has led to lots of conspiracies about Damar. Some people took this situation to the most extreme extent and believe that Damar has died but the NFL does not want the bad press so they offered his family money to keep quiet. In the off season Hamlin will mysteriously pass away taking the blame off of the NFL. The large majority of people believe that Hamlin just does not want to be seen until he is back at one hundred percent and not on oxygen. That was also one of the main reasons people don’t think it’s the real Hamlin. He had no oxygen machine visible in the suite and he was jumping around with most likely broken ribs because ribs almost always break during CPR. All this evidence has led me to formulate my personal opinion. With all this information I believe that Hamlin was not at the game but is still alive and is just waiting until he’s better to make a full return to the public. Although the part that really makes me wonder is that Hamlin’s younger brother (around age 9) was with Hamlin and it’s hard to get a kid that young to lie and act the way he would have to if his brother wasn’t the one actually in the suite at the game.

The Bills get dominated by the Bengals while Damar Hamlin is in the stadium. The Chiefs beat the Jaguars by a touchdown but Mahomes injured his ankle. If the Bengals play the way they did against the Bills they will easily beat the Chiefs and head back to the Super Bowl. Once in the superbowl they have a tough task with either the Eagles or the 49ers. In my eyes this super bowl is the 49ers to lose but the Bengals have the best shot at beating them especially with the playoff and super bowl experience they have on their roster compared to the very young Eagles and the 49ers with their rookie quarterback Brock Purdy.

The Texans had the first overall pick locked up with a loss in the final week of the season but are so bad they won the game on a hail mary and now the Bears have the pick. The Bears should trade the pick and fall back to the seventh pick at the latest so they can still get Will Anderson or Jalen Carter to pressure opposing quarterbacks. In a trade they should try to get a wide receiver and drop back a couple picks and maybe even get a late round pick.

Tom Brady faced off against Dak Prescott in what could be his final game as a buccaneer or even an NFL player. He was completely outplayed by a quarterback who leads the league in interceptions and the buccaneers decided to show up with just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter. In my eyes Brady should not return to this Buccaneers team this off season. I think that the Las Vegas Raiders would be a good fit for him because of the solid defense, a top three wide receiver in the league and this year’s rushing leader if they re-sign him.

The Men’s World Cup happens every four years in the month of July. However, this year’s World Cup is being held in Qatar where temperatures can exceed one hundred twenty degrees. So, the World Cup games began in November and have flown into the month of December. As many other Americans were, I was rooting for the boys in red, white, and blue. However, we fell short to Netherlands in the round of sixteen which was a tough defeat. However, we did learn that the U.S. is a very good team but lacks a good striker. Knowing this now means the U.S. men’s national team has the next four years to prepare a striker for the next World Cup. The Netherlands however had a much more difficult game after beating the U.S. They were set to face Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team who was and still is one of the top favorites to win the World Cup. Argentina beat the Netherlands and Croatia to advance to the World Cup final in which they will play the winner of Morocco versus France. Many believe France to be the best team in the World Cup and they have lived up to that hype to this point but will face an underdog who has upset Ronaldo and Portugal who were a very good team. In my eyes I believe that Argentina will win this World Cup because of what they have done throughout the World Cuo and they have the greatest soccer player to ever grace the pitch. They lost their first match to one of the worst teams in the World Cup. They faced adversity and they have notv lost since. They have dominated games and still won, but they have also not looked great and still own because they have an excellent counter attack. So, in my eyes Argentina is my clear favorite to win the World Cup.

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers faced off at Soldier Field in week 13. The Bears started the game hot, looking like they wanted to win the game. However, Rodgers did what he does showing he truly owns the Chicago Bears. Christian Watson to show that he has been one of the best rookie receivers in the league and scored his eighth touchdown in only his last 4 games.

The month of November is know for Thanksgiving and being before December to the average person. If you were to ask a sports fan what November meant to them they would tell you sports equinoxes. If you don’t know what that is then you’re missing out. The month of November is such a good month because it has baseball, football, hockey, basketball, and soccer. That also doesn’t even consider things like boxing, UFC, and NASCAR. This means that a “sports equinox is possible. what this means is at least four major sports are all played in one day. Sports bettors enjoy sports equinoxes more than anybody because of all the possible crazy parlays that can be created. The only month in sports close to November is middle of March to mid April because of March Madness. But, March and April lack depth in sports and that’s exactly what sets the month of November on another level in the sports world. Many sports fans will dedicate whole days like Sunday just to watch one sport. Now, imagine if there were four different sports at one time. There isn’t enough time in the day to watch all that with a full schedule. So, people will clear their schedules just to watch sports. No other month causes cancellation of plans like November. The weather that is normal to November also helps people stay at home and watch sports because it is often cold ans sometimes snows limiting your options on what you can do because you can’t do much outside. This makes November ideal for having all kinds of sports because more people are available to sit on the couch for hours on end watching their favorite teams and sports. The scheduling in November is perfect for max revenue because more people are watching sports and TV in general.

The Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys played on Sunday. It was the first time that Mike McCarthy had come back to Lambeau since he coached for Green Bay. The Packers had really good drives and not so great drives. The defense played well. However, Jaire Alexander is having one of his worst seasons of his career. Ceedee lamb played great and exposed Alexander. The overrated Cowboys are now third in the NFC East behind the Eagles and Giants.

The Chicago Bulls lost to the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. The Chicago Bulls played okay and so did the Pelicans. However, Brandon Ingram outplayed everybody on the court in the fourth quarter. BI and Zion Williamson are the best fourth quarter duo in the NBA. The Bulls did not play sloppy, but had 15 turnovers. This is the reason they lost. 15 turnovers is way too many and deserved to lose with that many turnovers.
